As always if you need a reminder of the reasons and rules behind this challenge have a read of the about me page. To see last month’s matched betting profit visit January’s results post here.

Well the electric start didn’t quite continue but another month that I’m well over target (£416.67) and just under my secret inner target of an an extra £500 a month. Even though I was active for 25 days, 4 of those days were for a matter of 10-15mins as me and my girlfriend decided to go on a mini-break for to celebrate my 27th birthday. This also meant I missed a whole weekend of matched betting (where most of the profit is to be made), so I am really happy with my overall result.

I’m still convinced that there is going to be a month this year where I just do not have the time to complete many offers either because of work commitments, holidays and/or other reasons. So the fact that I am building a nice buffer (I’m currently £250 ahead of my target) is comforting for when events get in the way of my matched betting.

February’s Matched Betting Profit

In terms of the matched betting profit breakdown I saw a slightly reduced return from advantage play with the month’s total standing at £214.18. I set a new record for my biggest ever casino win which was a £61.87 which was a tied in £10 deposit match. I used a variety of slots for the wagering requirements, but I mainly used King Kong Cash, Rainbow Riches and TED, all of which I would say are medium variance. This is the straight line up at the very start of the month (after some initial losses!).

Casino Offers

From then onwards, as you can see from the graph, it was a very frustrating 7-10 days. I kept winning or accumulating profit and then immediately losing that profit on the next offer. I also felt like the offers dried up on that particular week (can’t remember if it was an international friendly break?). It was like I had an invisible ceiling at £100!

After eventually grinding through to the £200 mark, I got a nice win on Coral’s “Wager £20 on European Roulette for 10 Golden Chips” which returned £25 (watch out for my upcoming post in the advantage play section on Roulette strategy). I then got another welcome win on the same day on a simple “Wager £10 for £5 free bet” from Sky Vegas after hitting a big bonus round on King Kong Cash. Another £50 profit came from William’s Hill’s weekly stake £10 get £5 bonus on live casino, and finally the bet and spin promo’s kept producing with an extra £15 – £30 combined every time I completed them.

Matched Betting Sports Offers

As usual, sport was my biggest earner bringing in £256.61 all told. Price Boosts and free bets are my staples here. I haven’t really gone into the more complicated arena of accumulator offers or dutching (I’ll explain what this is in a post on its own) which I really want to look at in the near future. However, I don’t think my lifestyle (lack of time on weekends) will allow me to complete many accas, since of lot of the lay legs for “lock-in” profit accas involve following football results and laying accordingly on the weekend games.

On a more positive note I have scanned all my entries and there were no mistakes! I believe this is the first mistake-free month of matched betting, but I won’t be resting on my laurels as I’m sure there are far more mistakes to be made!!

My First “Gubbing”

I will end this entry by reporting my first ever “gubbing” from a bookmaker. Getting “gubbed” simply means you won’t be sent any future offers (I’ve still got access to their casino offers). After 5 months of custom Betway decided I was no longer worthy of their offers!

I was slightly upset when the live chat agent revealed this to me, however I was getting sick of chasing every single free bet so it’s not the worst thing in the world. I also didn’t make that much from them, as most of their offers revolve around terribly priced e-sports and #betyourway offers which are almost impossible to lay off. In fact, I’m almost sure it was the religious, week-in, week-out completion of the #betyourway offers that got me hit with the gub-stick. I’ll never really know (clear out before Cheltenham Festival perhaps?).

But I’ve picked myself up and moved on into March. Now I already know in advance that I will miss an entire week of this month’s matched betting. As I said above I knew this would happen eventually. I won’t say too much here but it’s thanks to matched betting that I’m taking the week off. More details to follow! So I am setting my sights a little lower than my £416.67 monthly target.
