Following on from my last advantage play post on determining the risk of casino offers, something happened to me last week which really emphasised the need to take free spins (and therefore free money) whenever they are given to you.
If you’re new here it may be worth checking out my advantage play page for an understanding on how to profit from casino offers.
What happened you ask? Well it was my biggest single casino win to date.
Can I now retire on the winnings?
Sadly, no.
It was only £108.24. I say only, I actually mean a WHOPPING STONKING £108.24 returned off a…wait for it…a free 10p spin.
It literally cost me nothing.
Now will you listen to me when I say you should always take risk-free casino offers no matter how risk-averse and conservative you are?
If someone walked up to you on the street and said, “Here, have £100 my friend” you wouldn’t say no would you?
So how can you get in on the action, well it’s pretty simple really.
Where to find free spins?
I think probably the undisputed king of these kinds of bonuses are William Hill but there are plenty of others who do a sterling job.
Hills often offer (in partnership with the developer Red Tiger) 5-10 free spins on their must-drop jackpot slots. These offers are often followed up by “wager £5-£10 for an extra 5-10 spins”.
I tend not to bother with the secondary offer just leaving with whatever profit I have after the free spins, and yes sometimes that is zero.
Advantaged Life Tip: These slots will show the status of their daily jackpots, wait until later in the day to complete these offers as often either their £2k must-drop jackpot or daily jackpot of £10-£15k will often still not have dropped yet, giving you more chance of winning one of them. One of Oddsmonkey’s staff members Suzy-Beth did exactly this in December 2017, netting a cool £11,000 in the process!
Sky also do a great job on these. They have a wide range of risk-free products. Their Vegas section has a daily “Prize Machine” which often doles out free spins/bonuses which always tend to net me a free £3/4 for no risk at all. Sky Bingo also has their own daily “Prize Burst” offering pretty much exactly the same thing.
Sometimes you don’t win a prize but I find if you spend enough money with them you will win more often than not.
If you happened to have staked £10 the previous day completing an offer you also get bumped up to the “Mega Prize Machine” which just tends to double the size of their regular prizes.
Paddy Power and Betfair (same company remember) often give you free spins here and there, they tend to be on naff slots and max out at about 5 spins, but if you don’t take them you never know what you may have won!
Grosvenor Casinos are actually pretty good with their free spins, again they are on high variance Red Tiger slots so follow the advice above but I’ve had wins well over £10 with the 10 free spins they give.
They also tend to roll these out of a period of a week or more at 10 per day. So you can easily end up with 50-100 free spins overall, completely free, completely risk-free.
If someone gave you those in one go you would soon snap their hand off, so don’t sniff at having to do them day-by-day. Just set a daily alarm on your phone until the promo runs out.
Then there is a plethora of casino-only sites that offer 10 free spins without depositing, just check your emails regularly after signing up. To name just a mere fraction of these sites: BGO, PlayOJO, Casumo, Dunder, IPS Sites (Google them), Party Casino, Casino Heroes etc.
What About Risk-Free Casino Bonuses?
This is almost a case of rinse and repeat.
Sometimes instead of free spins, casinos will often give you a risk-free bonus amount which you will have to try and wager a certain amount of times before being able to turn it into your own withdrawable cash.
William Hill I think are often one of the best for this type of offer. They offer £5 risk free bonuses with x20 wagering on classic slots such as Rainbow Riches.
The tactic with these (as they often can be repeated 3 or 4 days in a row) is just to go with £1 spins, so you either bust out quickly or hit a huge win and then drop your stakes down and cruise through the rest of wagering.
I’m yet to see one of these through despite having a couple of big wins, hopefully soon I’ll be able to report back with another fat sack of cash I’ve won risk-free!
Sky Casino used to do a great risk-free £10 roulette offer every Friday. The tactic was simple just place £0.5 or £1 on a single number which either came in or didn’t and you got your £10 back the next day. I used to regularly make £10-£15 on this offer (50p stakes), so I’m hoping it makes a long-overdue return!
Sky Vegas and Bingo often give you 100% cashback up to £5 on their slots. The tactic is the same here go for £1 spins, either get a huge win or bust quickly and get your fiver back the next day.
Betfred often do the same offering 100% cashback (sometimes only on their mobile site) on slots. What I like about their slot selection is that they are often the highest of high variance.
Therefore, at the risk of repeating myself for the 8th time, you’ll either win huge or bust out.
Ladbrokes and Coral sometimes drop random bonuses in your accounts with low wagering requirements. Their never seem to be more than £2-£5 but if you wager them on Blackjack you may find yourself with more than a tenner if your luck’s in (remember to use Oddmonkey’s perfect Blackjack strategy).
The Gamesys sites (Virgin Games, Heart Bingo, Jackpot Joy, Starspins, Monopoly Casino etc.) often pop a free bonus in your account and email you to let you know. Wager them once over and you can just simply withdraw your free cash…thank you very much!
The same casino-only sites listed above are worth checking for risk-free bonuses, although my experience with them seems to be dominated by free spins rather than a fixed bonus amount. As I said earlier your inbox (always check your junk too) is key here as they will often send an invite-only absolute gem of an offer!
When an offer looks risk-free but actually it isn’t
This is something I’ve already written about in my previous advantage play posts but I thought it would be worth re-stating. Any offers from casino-only sites that state “Deposit X get X free spins with no wagering” do in fact have strings attached.
This is because (despite their being not terms saying so) you really need to wager that deposit at least once to keep your account healthy. Sure, you can have a go at the offers without wagering but let me tell you that won’t last long.
Wager your deposit through something with a low house edge such as Blackjack (if it’s allowed) and roulette.
The second thing worth mentioning is the 100% cashback offer mentioned above. Sometimes those 100% cashback offers are sneakily given back to you as a bonus not as cash.
This means you will have to wager that bonus at least once and therefore you could end up losing some of your own money. So as always, read the terms and conditions carefully before completing any offer.
Why are free spins worth doing?
Well quite simply because they make you money without risking any of your own. I’ve compiled a small chart detailing my profits for 2018 so far that have come from free spins and completely risk-free bonuses so far.
As you can see there were a couple of big wins in March and June but they have never failed to bring me in a completely risk-free £30 a month.
I reckon I spend no more than 2 hours a month on these offers (they usually only take seconds to complete) and I’ve earned an average of £68.08 a month. That’s £34.04 an hour tax-free. Not bad at all!
Overall, I have made £408.46 from free spins/risk-free bonuses. Not bad! I think that number will be well over £1000 by the end of 2018 so perhaps I will revisit this post in January 2019 and see what the annual total came to.
Conclusion
Hopefully now you will see why I am so insistent on you completing these risk-free casino offers.
If you want to find them all in one place then make sure you sign up to Oddsmonkey Premium where they are posted both in the community and on their daily offer calendar.
Good luck and let me know in the comments how much money you’ve made from free spins, maybe your profits make mine look like loose change!
