Online Income Report January 2019

Why not share this article with your friends and colleagues?

So this is it.

My first ever income report.

My online income report January 2019 is the first of hopefully many to come!

I’m excited to report back to you with what I’ve made online each month and hopefully it can give you the motivation to start some of your own side (or full time) online businesses.

January was manic for me. And going on holiday in the second week probably didn’t help (although I had an AMAZING time skiing in Morzine!).

My Fiverr freelance writing business continues to increase in size and it’s now taking up the same time as a part time job. In fact, I’ve had to pause my gig a few times just to avoid taking on too much.

Matched betting has suffered as a result.

In fact, January was my first ever matched betting-free month since starting this blog.

Crazy, considering that just over a year ago that was the only thing I wrote about and it was my only side hustle.

It really did open up my eyes to the possibility of making easy money online, and I’ve never looked back.

So without further ado let’s get into some numbers…

Online Income Report January 2019 – £671.28 ($867.84)

Not a bad start to 2019, considering I put very little time into my online side hustles.

But not exactly enough to to retire on!

Let’s dig into the numbers a bit deeper and see where that money came from.

Matched Betting – £0 ($0)

Yes I had to put that zero in dollars too. Just to make sure.

As previously mentioned, this was my first ever matched betting free month.

Not by design, it just happened.

I went away for a week and then fell ill for a week afterwards, and then I had a mad rush on trying to catch up with all the work for my business (social media agency) so it just completely fell by the way side.

Towards the end of my £500 to £5000 challenge I started to lose some of the bigger names, culminating in the the hammer blow of losing William Hill in late 2018.

But I’m determined to carry on, despite restricted access to the best offers. I had such good fun with it, and it is definitely the best UK-based side hustle available today. Your hourly rate can be as high as £150 ($200+)!

And for those of you from the USA reading this you may be able to shortly join us, as federal and state laws around online gambling begin to relax.

Why not go back and trawl through my monthly profit updates to get some inspiration to get started yourself?

Of course, you won’t get very far without the help of Oddsmonkey (sign up with code SMARKETSZERO to get 7 days’ access to premium for just £1!).

Fiverr Freelance Writing Business – £414.54 ($535.90)

This is definitely my fasting growing online side hustle at the moment, and it saw me rake in another $500+ month.

In case you are wondering what I do on Fivver, I write blog posts for a variety of clients.

What I like about this side hustle is that it improves my writing for my own blog (this website) and that its turned me into an immensely fast typist (I can also now type without looking at the keyboard), which is always a great skill to develop.

I’ve rapidly risen through the Fiverr selling ranks to the highest automatic level (Level 2), the only rank left to achieve is Top Seller which is fairly tough as it requires over $20,000 of sales and is decided by Fiverr members of staff.

You never know though, 2019 could be another good year and I could potentially sneak into that exclusive club before 2020.

We shall see.

I’ve already signed another client this month that should dramatically increase the income from this part of my online portfolio.

So I’m excited to see what this figure looks like next month.

Online Income Report January 2019
I earned over $1000 just a few months after starting on Fiverr, and I’ve gone from strength to strength ever since!

Advantaged Life Blog Income – £256.74 ($331.75)

This portion of my income is multi-faceted so I’m going to break it down a tad further for you.

Sponsored Posts – £240

As you can see the overwhelming majority of my website income is through sponsored posts. I’ve worked hard on my SEO over the past 6 months to get my DA (Domain Authority) over 20 which has opened a few doors in terms of working with blogger networks.

I get my opportunities through bloggers connected.

I currently work with just a few companies, but once I get my DA over 30 there should be a lot more opportunities for me.

Affiliate Commissions – £14.28

This is solely for commissions to the only service I actively promote on here which is Oddsmonkey. I make a 50% on monthly renewals so this should hopefully increase each month as more people sign up through my affiliate link.

Of course this is something I need to diversify massively.

I’m never going to make any meaningful money promoting just one service.

I have just signed up for the amazon affiliate program, so that’s a step in the right direction.

I’m also in the process of applying to a few other affiliate networks to promote other products that I use. So hopefully I can report much bigger figures in this department in the coming months.

Advertising – $3.10

As you will have noticed I run ads on this website through the ad network Media.Net.

It’s only since I started taking this website more seriously that I have started to get the sort of visitor numbers that are required to make money through ads (you need at least 3,000+ visitors a month to see anything at all!).

As I write this I have already doubled that embarrassing figure to a whopping $6 by the half way point of February.

Special Note: In case you are wondering why I report in pounds (£) and dollars ($) it’s because, despite being based in the UK, the majority of my website visitors are from the US and the rest of the world (according to Google Analytics), so I want to make the figures relatable to everyone.

My Thoughts On January

As I mentioned at the end of my £500 to £5000 challenge, I want to show you that everybody starts somewhere with these income reports.

I don’t care how toe-curlingly small my profits are; as long as they keep growing.

And if they don’t grow, I’ll still report them back to you anyway, showing you that starting an online business is not easy.

And it never will be.

One day I hope to look back at this measly $3.10 and say “that was the acorn of a website that now earns thousands in ad revenue every month”.

Or look at that £14.28 in affiliate income and in a year’s time say to yourself, “wow I now make more than that figure every single day from my affiliate links.”

There’s going to be a lot of hard work in between that moment and now, but I’m not afraid of it, in fact I’m looking forward to it!

And of course everything I learn, I will pass on to you so that you can avoid my mistakes!

February 2019 Goals

In no particular order I want to try and achieve some (if not all of) these goals by the end of the this month:

• Increase website traffic to over 6,000 for February 2019

• Increase Fiverr freelance income to over £500 ($750)

• Increase Advantaged Life’s Pinterest followers to over 1500 and views to over 200k

• To try to do at least some Matched Betting

• Try to double my affiliate income

• Try to double my ad revenue

• Try and push sponsored post earnings to over the £300 mark ($390)

Hopefully you will join me again in early March to see if I managed to take care of these admittedly cautious objectives.
